New Zealand Pathology Observation Code Sets (Orders and Results) Business Process

This project has created a New Zealand subset of LOINC (Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes) to develop a code set for ordering and reporting of observations for a number of laboratory tests utilised in the New Zealand health sector.
The code sets for microbiology and some gynaecological cytology codes have been added in September 2008 and the Business Process document has also been updated to reflect these changes
The following changes were made to the Results Code set in June 2009:
XNZ0081 Cholesterol (LDL) calculated code has been deleted and replaced with 39469-2 LOINC code
Hemoglobin A1c with SCNC property has been allocated a new code: XNZ0436.
